Psalms Chapter 131

These 150 prayers were used by the Hebrews to express their relationship with God. They cover the whole field of human emotions, from joy to hate, from hope to despair.

A Conservative Version

131 : 1 Jehovah, my heart is not haughty, nor my eyes lofty. Neither do I exercise myself in grand matters, or in things too wonderful for me.

131 : 2 Surely I have stilled and quieted my soul like a weaned child with his mother. Like a weaned child is my soul within me.

131 : 3 O Israel, hope in Jehovah from this time forth and for evermore.
